LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST | FOUNDING TEAM
Wellness Club is seeking an exceptional full-time massage therapist to join our founding team as we prepare to open this fall at The Galaxy at Polaris in Columbus, Ohio.
A hospitality-inspired wellness club bringing movement, recovery, massage and bodywork, skin health, and medical wellness together in one elevated environment. Massage and bodywork will be an important part of the experience, supported by an integrated team and cross-referrals from our Pilates, yoga, recovery, skincare, and wellness services.
We are especially interested in therapists with experience in five-star hotels, luxury resorts, destination spas, premium cruise spas, or similarly service-focused wellness environments.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Advanced training or demonstrated professional experience in one or more of the following is highly valued:
• Thai massage
• Balinese massage
• Indonesian treatments
• Asian bodywork traditions
• Deep tissue massage
• Swedish massage
• Sports and recovery massage
• Myofascial and mobility-focused techniques
• Reflexology or other culturally rooted treatment traditions
Applicants do not need experience in every listed modality. We are seeking therapists with exceptional hands-on ability, excellent pressure control, strong body mechanics, and the judgment to personalize each treatment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide customized massage sessions based on each guest’s goals, health history, pressure preferences, and recovery needs.
• Deliver a polished and attentive experience from consultation through treatment and aftercare.
• Maintain high standards for timing, communication, treatment-room presentation, sanitation, guest privacy, and professional boundaries.
• Adapt treatments for active adults, Pilates and yoga clients, stress-related tension, mobility limitations, and general wellness.
• Make appropriate aftercare and rebooking recommendations based on each guest’s individual needs.
• Help establish Solterra’s opening treatment protocols and luxury service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
• More than two years of professional massage therapy experience.
• Luxury resort, five-star hotel spa, destination spa, or comparable hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent hands-on technique, communication skills, reliability, and professional presentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an integrated wellness team.
• Some evening and weekend availability.
An active Ohio Massage Therapy License is required before performing services. Applicants already licensed in Ohio are strongly preferred. Candidates licensed in another U.S. state who have passed the MBLEx and have a clear path to Ohio licensure are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have ongoing authorization to work in the United States without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship. Solterra is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.
COMPENSATION AND SUPPORT
This is a full-time W-2 employee position with competitive service-based compensation plus guest gratuities. Specific compensation will be discussed based on experience, availability, specialized training, and demonstrated skill.

Limited relocation and Ohio licensing assistance may be available for an exceptionally qualified candidate who is already independently authorized to work in the United States.
Opening in fall 2026. The anticipated employment and onboarding period is late September or early October, subject to the final construction and opening schedule.
