Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Salon Supervisor & Beauty Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy small-team beauty salon located in Bermuda. This multifaceted role primarily focuses on managing reception duties, coordinating salon operations, driving sales, and providing leadership and training to staff members. Additionally, as Beauty Lead, this position includes performing beauty services on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, exceptional managerial skills, extensive experience in the beauty industry, and a passion for staff development. Responsibilities:
• Manage reception duties, including greeting clients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries, while also overseeing salon coordination tasks.
• Lead and motivate salon staff to meet and exceed performance targets, providing coaching and support to enhance their skills in upselling, rebooking, add-ons, retail sales, and gift vouchers.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, including promoting upselling opportunities and encouraging staff to maximize sales and service offerings.
• Conduct daily huddles with staff to provide guidance, set targets, and address any matters related to service quality, performance, or staff infractions.
• Coordinate salon services and appointments to optimize staff efficiency and client satisfaction, ensuring smooth operations and timely service delivery.
• Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to all clients, maintaining high standards of professionalism and satisfaction.
• Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner, using them as opportunities to coach staff and improve service quality.
• Provide comprehensive training to staff in reception duties and a range of beauty services, including lash extensions, waxing, threading, nails, etc., ensuring they are knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of their roles.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and techniques, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, budget management, and reporting.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, mutual respect, and continuous improvement among staff members.
• Represent the salon at industry events and networking opportunities to promote the business and build relationships within the community.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Salon Manager, preferably in a similar small-team beauty salon environment.
• Recognized certification and prior experience as a Beauty Therapist for at least 10 years is highly desirable.
• Proficient and seasoned in providing lash, nail, brow, threading, and body waxing services.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach staff to perform at their best.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience living abroad is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in Bermuda.
