Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting health and wellness through the therapeutic use of massage techniques. The Massage Therapist will work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide effective treatments that improve relaxation, reduce pain, and enhance physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports, graston, cupping etc.) tailored to the individual needs of clients.
Assess clients' conditions and discuss their medical history and areas of discomfort to provide appropriate treatments.
Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for clients.
Offer recommendations for lifestyle changes, stretching exercises, or other complementary treatments.
Keep accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment plans and progress.
Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed in accordance with industry standards.
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure a relaxing experience for clients.
Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure client confidentiality.
Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and processing payments when necessary.
Qualifications:
Valid Massage Therapist certification and/or license in California
Proven experience in a similar role (minimum [2] years preferred).
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
Ability to assess and address the needs of individual clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
Strong work ethic and commitment to client well-being.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
