Job Description:
· Administer massage techniques
· Maintain records of treatments given
· Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
· Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
· Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body
· Establish the health check with the client
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an 18- to 24-month or 18- to 36-month program in massage therapy from an accredited school or in a related discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of experience or supervised practical training are required.
- Massage techniques required: Swedish and therapeutic
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity
Personal Suitability: Interpersonal awareness, Effective interpersonal skills, Values and ethics, Client focus, Accurate, Excellent oral communication
- Languages: French and English are required.
Salary: $29.00 per hour – 40 hours per week.
Important Information: The position requires extended working hours and flexibility in planning; including morning, day, evening, night or weekend hours, as needed. The candidate will work 6 to 8 hours a day within the following schedule depending on the needs of the company: Monday to Sunday, between 10h and 20h30. The candidate will be entitled to a weekly rest period of at least 32 consecutive hours.
