The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high standards of spa treatments and services. This role includes supervising spa staff, coordinating treatments, managing schedules, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring a luxurious and relaxing experience for all guests. The Spa Supervisor is key to supporting the Spa Manager in achieving business goals, promoting wellness services, and upholding operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise and lead spa staff, including therapists, attendants, and receptionists, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Perform Front Desk and Spa Administrative duties daily
• Adhere to all requirements set forth in our Policies and Procedures and hand book
• Support our mission, policies and procedures.
• Have an expert knowledge in Forbes Spa Standards
• Perform general receptionist duties including answering incoming calls, responding to inquiries, emailing guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Responsible for point-of-sale transactions as applicable.
• Complete required training programs which include participation/experience in various spa software.
• Check schedule throughout the day for any changes with a focus on maximizing revenues and proactively resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Efficiently control; front of house daily operations including spa and salon scheduling.
• Responsible for product knowledge and retail sales and continual staff education.
• Assist in sales with prospective guests and provide tours of Seafire Spa as needed.
• Cross-train in other operational area within the spa to provide backup coverage as needed.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of spa products and supplies, ensuring all items are well-stocked and properly displayed
• Critic product usage while monitoring and preventing overuse of product.
• Audit staff performance on a daily basis
• Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to maintain high service standards.
• Oversee group blocks, book appointments, package amenities, treatment, and retail
• Be the point of contact for group planners.
• Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the spa, including treatment rooms, common areas, and equipment.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a luxury 5* spa environment, in a supervisory role.
• Beauty therapy or cosmetology license required. (CIBTEC, CIDESCO or NVQ preferred)
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Forbes Spa Standards (preferred)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Have strong computer skills: MS word, Excel, outlook and Spa specific software.
• Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity and professionalism to members and fellow employees.
• Must have a high attention to quality, detail, teamwork and guest service.
• Must be able to build positive relationships and be a resource for all staff.
• Encourage staff to be involved and help them to excel.
• Acknowledge the confidential nature of the professional relationship with all staff members.
• Maintain appropriate decorum, appearance and professionalism at all times.
• Follow all company guidelines, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Basic administrative skills, including scheduling and inventory management.
• Certification or training in spa treatments and wellness services (preferred)
• This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
