Job Summary:
Meraki Wellness is a luxury wellness destination set to open in the last quarter of 2025 in Grand Cayman. In partnership with Truefitt & Hill — the world’s oldest barbershop (est. 1805), we will bring world-class gentlemen’s grooming to the Caribbean.
We are seeking an exceptional Master Barber to join our founding team. This is a career-defining opportunity to represent a globally recognised grooming brand, deliver Five-Star service, and help establish the standards of luxury grooming at one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver precision haircuts, beard design, hot towel shaves, and tailored grooming rituals.
• Provide expert consultations and aftercare recommendations.
• Uphold luxury Five-Star / Forbes standards of hygiene, service, and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Create and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked workspace.
• Collaborate with spa and wellness colleagues to ensure seamless guest service.
Qualifications:
Essential
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a barber in a luxury Five-Star hotel, Forbes Five-Star spa, or heritage grooming house.
• Certified barbering or hairstyling qualification.
• Mastery of traditional barbering techniques (cut-throat razor shaving, scissor-over-comb, beard sculpting) and modern styling.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards in spa/salon operations.
• Experience creating and implementing SOPs.
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Impeccable grooming and professional presentation.
• Fluent in English.
Desirable
• Previous experience with Truefitt & Hill or other heritage grooming brands.
• Retail sales experience.
• Familiarity with spa booking software (e.g. Zenoti).
Compensation & Benefits:
• Base Salary: USD $36,000 per annum
• Gratuities: 15% on treatments
• Commission on Retail: 10% on skincare sales
• Commission on Services: Target-led commission structure to reward performance
• Quarterly Incentives for retail sales performance
• On-Target Earnings (OTE): USD $70,000–$80,000 per annum
